Cheesesteak Lasagna, How to Make Journaling Part of your Daily Routine, Tasty Orange Cake, and Easy DIY Farmhouse Coffee Mug Stand are this week's featured posts!
Hello and Welcome!
We are staying pretty close to home since we started getting our winter snow. Going to work, and the grocery store has been our big-time travel destinations! Fortunately, we have lots to keep us busy here at home, lots of books for reading, along with knitting, daily cooking, and recipe development, plus just some needed quiet time. Also, we each have a variety of hobbies to keep us busy and satisfied.
My hubby writes poetry, is an avid reader and while it is not a hobby, he keeps the fire burning in the woodstove. Along with blogging and cooking, I enjoy handwork, knitting, crochet, and embroidery. Plus I am happy to keep warm by the fire burning in the woodstove!
We are six months on our way to our next grandchild, and we can't wait! It seems like just yesterday we learned we were to be blessed once again with a little one, and now we are only about three months away from holding the little guy!
Today was a busy day in the kitchen, with four loaves of bread baked, and the finishing touches put on a post, How to Cook Long Grain Brown Rice in your Instant Pot. A soaked rice method. Later today I will put together a kettle of broccoli cheese soup for our dinner. In so many ways, I love the quiet of winter.
