Low Histamine Recipes to Enjoy. With June Updates!

Like every family out there, we have a lot going on! In our case it is homesteading. With a garden, tending to the chickens and of course the land. Add in learning about our new home state of Texas, and exploring all that we can when we have open time. As well as time with family, and getting ready for the next celebration, because there will be one!  Here recently I have had to add one more thing, a Low Histamine eating plan.

And while we have only been in Texas a short time, we have had the homestead mentality and lifestyle for quite a few years. Starting out with our time living in Montana. And, although we are not experts in any way, I hope that what we share with you with this series is helpful, as well as inspirational for you and your own homestead journey. Or even with your own home and yard in the suburbs. Because to homestead is an much an action as it is a lifestyle.

In My Homestead Kitchen June, Looking Back on May 2026

Welcome June! We had a rainy May, but the water was nice, as most of the manmade lakes that are common around here as a backup water source for livestock, were still dry. It isn't until the Flooding warnings go out across the news and community social pages do you worry that your lake might now flood your house....welcome to life in Texas! We are joining Sherry for In My Kitchen, even thought my kitchen thoughts were quite humbug in nature for most of May.

Loaded Vegetable Lentil Soup is another delicious soup in my series of sipping soups. But yes you could partially puree, and serve with a spoon. But I will tell you the real reason I have been making so many sipping soups. First, they only require about 5 minutes prep time and a sipping soup is a great way to keep hydrated while also taking in a good share of vegetables, vitamins and fiber....come and take a look see!
