Encouraging Hearts and Home 01.14.2021

November Bible Journaling Pages, Pecan Crusted Chicken, The Top 10 DIY Projects of 2020, and Easy Caramel Puddings are this week's featured posts!

Hello and Welcome!

We continue to have little or no snowfall here in our valley. We have had a bit of rain, however, and while I love the rain, it tends to puddle up on our sandy mineral-based soil instead of absorbing in! Those puddles are interesting, to say the least...

Encouraging Hearts and Home, come and join the fun @ Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household.

You see, each time our temperature drops below freezing, we get mini ice skating rinks throughout the yard! Every puddle is turned into a sheet of ice.
As it turns out, I came across one of these mini ice skating rinks last year when we were hiking in our local park. Yep, took a fast downward tumble and sustained a broken wrist in the process! Yikes, is all I can say. A broken wrist tends to get in the way when keeping a home and family cared for.

I did manage to learn to do everything one-handed with the exception of shaping bread dough into loaves and washing my hair.  A foot and a half of hair is a lot to try and control one-handed! I must say, I did love getting regular shampoo pampering at the local college for hair and nail training! As soon as I was able to begin keyboarding with both hands, I took back, washing my own hair.

One-handed keyboarding is soooo very slooowwwww...but I kept at it!

For me, blogging is how I keep in touch with my own goals (cooking, baking, learning new ways of doing things!) and of course visiting with all of you, which I appreciate so much. Again, thank you for dropping by, there are always great links to visit, and I hope that if you are also a blogger, you share your own great content!

And now, it's time for this week's Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!

    1. Thanks! It sure taught me a few lessons! First I was still adaptable, which is always a good lesson at any age. And just how painful a broken wrist can be! Have a great week ahead, and thanks for stopping by.
