The Brooder Box is complete, and we have confirmation on the delivery of the chicks, so it is official, soon we will be in the egg business! It will be fun learning about keeping chickens, and how they can make a positive impact in your yard and in the garden.

We have quite the grasshopper infestation here in the valley, and the chickens will enjoy having those hoppers as part of their diet. Our postmaster will call when the chicks arrive at the post office and my hubby will go and retrieve them. First things first, water and the freedom to run around in the brooder box. From there the rest is learning as we go...
