Cowboy Caviar, How to Make Your Homemade Marshmallows, DIY Rustic Wooden Stars, and Cowboy Caviar a second time (most viewed and my personal favorite!) are this week's featured posts!
A little update on the strawbale potato patch. So far the only green shoots coming off those straw bales are sprouting grass seed! I did decide to clip the twine holding the bales together, maybe a bit more room is needed for the chitted potato pieces to take hold. I still have hope for a potato or two! I do know one thing for certain (actually I have known this for many years now), I do not have my father's green thumb!.
The rhubarb we planted in the bed created for our water mitigation project/wall is doing very well. They will be small but I see a harvest of some rhubarb coming in my future. Rhubarb is definitely a favorite of mine, and this positive outcome does make me quite happy. I hope next year to be able to process a few jars of canned rhubarb, I could eat it every day. Now if only to find some canning lids...
Our new grandson is a complete joy, he is also one hungry fella. The cuddles I get are so enjoyable. But even more enjoyable is seeing the kids being such great parents. Friday will be a maiden voyage of more than one hour...they will do fine. They have patience and youth on their side!

Most Viewed Post from Last Week:
Cowboy Caviar! This terrific recipe came up twice, once as overall most viewed, and as one of my personal favorites! My personal favorites:
DIY Rustic Wooden Patriotic Stars. These caught my eye, and I love that they can be made from pieces of scrap material you have laying around! Especially now with lumber prices so high...
Cowboy Caviar. I can't wait to make this! All the ingredients are available and this could be made up in a flash!
