Amazing Date and Apricot Bread, My Top 10 Favorite Food Blogs, Upcycle Tee Shirts to Gift Bags, and How to String Outdoor Lights are this week's featured posts!
Hello and Welcome!
Yesterday I was walking through the yard with my daughter and grandson when my daughter inquired, "how is the straw bale potato project coming along"? Curious myself, we took a look. And honestly, I was not surprised to see what I saw. Some critter had come along and eaten the cut potato pieces!
But that is how it goes sometimes! There are good crops and a few failures. Along with too much fruit one year and none the next, like this year. Life on a small homestead or farm is never the same two years in a row...
We have all picked up (and shared...) a summer cold. Fortunately for all of us, the grandson did not get very ill. But, the rest of us oldies sure did. The menfolk came down with it first, then my daughter and the baby, and then finally myself. I can not wait for it to be done and gone!
Sending good wishes for no summer colds to come and visit your home.
