Easy to make Shredded Beef, perfectly tender and delicious every time!

This tender shredded beef is perfect for tacos, burritos, BBQ beef sandwiches, and dinner bowls of all kinds! Make your own tender shredded beef with this easy (and adaptable) Instant Pot recipe...for Easy to make Shredded Beef.

When only shredded beef will do!

We are beef eaters in this house! From fire-grilled steaks to simple ground beef made into many, many different recipes. But honestly, I don't always want ground beef. Especially when making a dinner bowl like the ones we get at our local organic café. They are quite delicious! And while I have not perfected the flavor they offer in their signature dinner bowl, I have perfected making budget-friendly shredded beef!

Stew mean and the pressure cooker, a match made in heaven.

Stew meat is often a good buy in the marketplace. Granted it can be a bit on the tough side, and the whole reason it is stewed for a long periods of time when making a Beef Stew for dinner...but there is another use for this versatile package of meat. When cooked with simple seasoning and a braising liquid you get a delicious and tender bowl of shredded beef ready for a number of dinner time uses.

Make ahead convenience and so many delicious ideas for use!

Such as Shredded Beef Tacos or Burritos. Or BBQ Beef Sandwiches. Shredded beef is also an excellent addition to your favorite spaghetti sauce or used in a layered dinner bowl. When making Easy to make Shredded Beef feel free to change up the seasonings to get the flavor you want. You certainly do not have to make Tex-Mex flavored meat each time. Also play around with the braising liquid, because this is a very adaptable recipe and you can make it exactly the way your family likes it!

For those extra busy days cook the day before, shred and refrigerate. Reheat quickly in a bit of the braising liquid. PS, I do not trim the meat into uniform pieces, the different sized pieces of beef will offer tender shreds of beef of varying lengths. This is literally an off-the-shelf recipe, rustic and delicious!

Ingredients needed for this recipe:
  • stew beef
  • beer, beef stock, veggie stock, or water

  • Pepper
  • Or, any spices you prefer for the flavor you want!
You will also need the following:
