The year 2021 is winding down, and it is easy to see from the many comments on social media it has been a year of mixed emotions and accomplishments. But just as important is that we all took the time to learn more. We learned more about ourselves, took on learning new skills, and for many, we took on learning a new way of seeing and enjoying life.
This list of the Top 10 from 2021 shows some of all that...the skills, our needs, and our families. Thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart for your continued visits, and your kind comments. I look forward to celebrating this upcoming new year in the company of your kindness, bless you all! I am proud of this list of good food and making a comfortable home, but your visits make the whole thing possible, Happy New Year to one and all!
Number 1, Oven Roasted Tomatoes, for Sauce or Freezer Storage. It is clear that there are many home gardeners, farmer's market shoppers, and good cooks in the group! I promote this recipe as one of the easiest ways to preserve summer and eat well all year long...
Number 2, One Pan Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes. This recipe if you can call it one is straight out of my childhood and a tribute to my mom. It is as much a process as a recipe and the nature of cooking with what you have, it might be slightly different from time to time. But that is the beauty of home cooking when made with love, it is always delicious!
Number 3, How to Make a Homemade Wedge Pillow. It is not all cooking here at Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household! We are a do-it-yourself- kind of family. This pillow served me well healing from ulcers, but you just might want one for reading in bed...
Number 5, Sauerkraut and Kielbasa. The perfect slow cooker meal when you want dinner with delicious flavor and one that will also cook itself while you tend to other chores...
Number 7, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Granola. I must confess it was a lot of fun to find this recipe in the top 10 for 2021. This fun recipe was created from my memory of loving Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts as a kid...
Number 10, Chinese Spaghetti! In full disclosure, it is not Italian spaghetti and it is not Chinese in origin. But what it is, is delicious, frugal and the family will love it!
