Welcome to another great weekend, and what better way to enjoy it in full than with a visit to Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! What makes this link-up special is that we encourage you to link up not only your current posts and great ideas, but also the great stuff in your archives!
Yes, that's right, older posts are not only encouraged, but appreciated!
Wait, did I hear that correctly?
Huh?, did you say, older posts are welcome too? Yep, we sure did. Lets give those older (and STILL great!) posts some recognition and respect. Because let's be honest, last month's or even last year's creative work is still great work, simply buried in the archives...so we encourage you bring them out and share it right here!
At each Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot, we look forward to seeing all your great projects, ideas, recipes, and any family friendly blog posts you wish to share.
Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is currently shared over three FOUR blogs: Let us introduce ourselves! We all offer a different perspective on life and hope you enjoy not only this link-up, but all that you find here!
We would love to have additional Co-Hosts to share in the creativity and fun! If you think this would be a good fit for you and you like having fun (come on, who doesn't!) while still being creative, drop one of us an email and someone will get back with you!
I invite you to follow our hosts on their individual blogs or any of the social media pages you visit, making it easy to keep up to date with every happening! And there are many...
What's up next, on our property? Because are you ever really done?...
We spent from 03.17 to 04.02.2024 without internet service, streaming service and limited social media. And while we all survived, it was tough. Tough for this blogger! I did manage to find some WIFI to build the post for this link party as well as one other that I participate in, but otherwise I got way behind, here on the blog.
The garden is coming along nicely, with bush beans, bush peas, potatoes, zucchini and cukes popping out! The blueberry bushes are loaded and he branches are beginning to bow with the weight of the ripening berries.
We also have planted sugar snap peas, basil, Roma tomatoes, a patio slicing tomato and sweet bell peppers. We are currently waiting for another free load of chips from the local electric company who has been in our neighborhood trimming and chipping up the branches. We can hear them working and the chipper, but so far no delivery. Unfortunately the last load we got is about gone, and we are needing to get more beds built! There are golden melon seed starts that will need to get into permanent ground soon!
The goats are doing a great job of eating down the overgrowth. And even better they are beginning to look forward to the time we spend with them taking them to the next grazing spot. We no longer have to put a lead on them, they see the bowl of goat chow and know to head to the pen for the evening and the chow will be served!
The little chicks are just a couple weeks away to coming outside to their coop full time. Currently they come out during the day and are in the main house for the evening. When full feathered, they can be outside full time. We will be starting a compost pile from anything the goats or the chicks don't eat. And while it would be nice to have a few photos, this was head into town day and I simply ran out of time! Thank you for joining us here at WTJR, I appreciate it!
If you would like to know why we are building a tiny house homesite here in East Texas, you can read about it here...
From time to time I write about it all, good, bad, otherwise, or from years ago, if you have any interest you could take a gander here, at From the Heart...
In case you missed them, here are two of our favorite recipes that we enjoy from Scratch Made Food & DIY Homemade Household.
And now, let's take a look at the most viewed post, along with posts that caught my eye, from last week's Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!
