Cinnamon Molasses Powered Up Oats!

Don't forget to eat your oatmeal! If those words make you want to skip breakfast at home and drive straight to the local donut shop, stop! Oatmeal is not only good for you, it is also delicious when make this way. Our newest oatmeal recipe, Cinnamon Molasses Powered Up Oatmeal. You are going to want to give this one a try...

Eating oatmeal everyday day, brings about a cooking challenge.

In order to not get tired of oatmeal it immediately each day you need to have a handful of different ways to cook it. Present it and dress it up. Yes you will find a number of recipes for oatmeal to make for breakfast. As well as it being used as an ingredient in many other recipes that are not exclusive to breakfast, like meatloaf. And I will just say it right now, I am a bit of a snob when it comes to cooked oatmeal, and recently while on vacation, I found out just how much of a snob I really am! We were on a cruise which offered the most beautiful breakfast offerings including oatmeal. But honestly it was a bowl of glue and not what I wanted to eat...

I am a firm believer that the glue factor is the main reason,

folks do not eat oats. Which are actually very good for you. Yes I have read the info on lectins etc., but oatmeal like all grains is a seed to grow more oats. Food that is a seed, must be handled differently to be digested properly, giving the best nutrition. You have two choices by the way, soak your oatmeal in the cooking water overnight or use a sprouted oatmeal, which has done the work for you. Ever since I found One Degree Organic Sprouted Oats, and no, I am not being paid to say this, I never looked back! I use them for granola, energy/protein treats and even in those meatloaf recipes I already talked about.

The truth is oats have a soluble fiber that every gut needs.

Even yours...that soluble fiber is what keeps your "works", working! It has been well documented that most folks do not get enough fiber and rarely a good mix of soluble and insoluble types. Eating oatmeal in one form (or recipe!) or another is an easy way to accomplish that. Which is actually why I keep developing oatmeal recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The other reason to make sure you get enough fiber at breakfast is that fiber takes awhile to digest and you stay fuller longer. Personally I hate eating breakfast so I can head outside and find in an hour I am already starving! So let's get cooking, shall we?
