My blog is my little corner of the web where I write about my family and home - the two most important things to me. Its not meant as an example of "how to do it", rather a place to share my family's life with whomever cares to read about it. So if you are here in my little corner of the world, cheering me on and celebrating life with me, thank you! You will likely have noticed that the focus of my posts have shifted as my life has. I think its interesting to write about how a family changes over the years, and that's the title of this blog after all. I also write a blog about my thoughts at It's Just Me, Gina, where I do a fair amount of rambling. Read along if you like, don't if you don't want to. I am thankful to have had a platform to journal about my life for all these years.

What's happening at our house?
Our outdoor dining area is done! It will be nice and shade filled once the loofahs grow, climb the cables and mature. Until then it is still a nice shady spot once the sun crosses over the rooftop and begins to set. We have decided we need to cut the legs down 2.5 inches. But otherwise it is good to go!
UPDATE: legs are cut, and my hubby had his first (of many!) lunch outside today.
Why did my husband and I put together a tiny house homestead here in East Texas?
Our Tiny Home!
Turns out, it is a bit of an interesting story, you can read about it here if you like...and now that we are settled in, we have also made a photo tour of our 5thwheel tiny home. You really must be organized to fit it all in, cooking, gardening, homesteading and also a bit of fun from time to time!
And from time to time when inspiration strikes, I write about it all. The good, the bad, and all the other stuff from years ago, if you have an interest in creative thoughts down on paper...you could take a gander here. And now From the Heart Vol II can be found here.
And...
I try each day to get out and take a moment for myself to observe and see the daily changes taking place on our property. These moments taken out wandering have helped me find small repairs needing done as well as a rose that might have just bloomed!
I decided to photograph these findings for enjoyment yes, but also to observe the land around me along with the changes (and hopefully improvements through the years.) You can find those photos at our Welcome to our Homestead page.
