Wait, did I hear that correctly? Yes you did!
Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is currently shared over three FIVE blogs: Let us introduce ourselves! We each offer a different perspective on life and hope you enjoy not only this link-up, but all that you may find, when you visit any of our personal blogs!
Marsha@ Marsha in the Middle - Marsha started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write! You can find her on her blog, Marsha in the Middle.
Rena@ it's all fine What Ever tickles the fancy ~ Rena joins us from Southern California where she has lived forever!. She is a proud wife, mom and retired woman who now after years of left brain work in the workforce is itching to use that right brain side in her continued zest for life!
Cat@ Cat's Wire ~ Cat loves all things "cat" along with books, movies, crafting and more cats! Wait, did I mention cats? She joins us from Germany where she also works in communications and media, when she is not creating or crafting!
Melynda@ Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household - Our name says it all! Scratch cooking and baking while living on a three generation homestead in East Texas. In my spare time I garden, chase chickens, spend as much time as possible with my grandson, cook and bake bread, oh and knit. Life is good!
Lisa@ Boondock Ramblings - Lisa shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and much much more on her blog, Boondock Ramblings.
I invite you to follow our hosts on their individual blogs and on any of the social media pages you visit, making it easy to keep up to date with just about every little thing going on! And there are many...many little things! We tend to be a busy group.
It's our goal to honor all bloggers at Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! And our new feature, that I am most excited about? As promised, we have rebooted the reboot! In honor of the bloggers who take the time each week to share their creative content with us. We will be featuring a different blogger each week! We invite you to stop by the featured blogger's blog, take a look around and say hello!
This week we are featuring...
I’m Kristin! I am a Mom to a 15 year old, HoneyBear & a 11 year old, SydneyBean. I am married to a supportive & amazing man who loves me despite my crazy gene! Together we have a Couples Podcast called How Was Your Week, Honey?
I am learning to live without my Mom, who passed in 2013 and the ups and downs of being pretty newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I love cooking, reading, crafts, and all things beautiful. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and I go by she/her pronouns.
I enjoy politics, music, pop culture and sports. As a family we love to explore, adventure and learn about what we can do to love and care for our community!
Stop by HoneyBearsandSydneyBeans to say hello!
We would love to have additional Co-Hosts to share in the creativity and the fun! If you think this would be a good fit for you and you like having fun (come on now, who doesn't?!) while still being creative, drop one of us an email and someone will get back with you!

And now back to our regularly scheduled Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!
What's happening at our house?
We put up a wind screen around three sides of the chicken coop. We insulated all the hose bibs. We hung a heat lamp in the greenhouse to keep the pineapples from freezing. And a heater in the under storage of our 5thwheel to keep the incoming water lines from freezer along with a little heater in the shop for the shop sink.
Why did my husband and I put together a tiny house homestead here in East Texas?
In case you missed them, here are two of our favorite recipes that we enjoy on regular rotation from Scratch Made Food & DIY Homemade Household.
And these, that caught my eye!: One from each page of shared posts!

Happy Friday, Melynda! It sounds like you were prepared for the cold January weather this past week! Hopefully it will begin to warm up now. We're supposed to see temps in the 20s this weekend and I think that will feel like a heat wave! LOL! Thanks so much for another wonderful party!
ReplyDeleteLaura, this week finds us in the cold, but warmer weather is on the way! Thanks so much for joining us at WTJR!
DeleteGlad you survived your cold spell. Our ends today, then tomorrow were back to more normal temperatures of 20 degrees. :). Thanks for the party.
ReplyDeleteAmy, thanks! We lost a couple of things in the greenhouse, but otherwise came through just fine. Thanks so much for joining us at WTJR!

DeleteI haven't been getting much exercise or steps in either; it is far to cold to go outside! Glad you didn't lose any power.
ReplyDeleteJoanne, starting back in, is where I am focusing right now! It's easy to stay unmotivated when the cold takes over. Thanks for sharing with us at WTJR.

Debbie, thanks so much for sharing with us at WTJR, have a great week ahead.
DeleteI would love to live in Texas - my new husband has lived in and worked in Texas over a span of 25 years; and last year we drove through a corner of it during the 4-day Christmas Surprise Trip he treated me to; but the dust devils kept us from going any further in than El Paso. I'm hoping maybe sometime this year, if the weather behaves, we can get down by the Gulf. You weatherized chicken coop made me smile with a memory of my 1st husband & how he helped me pull an over-sized tarp over the coop & hen house when a storm blew through our small corner of WA State, 15 years ago: that was a good memory. I and my current husband of 3 years are traveling the USA in a 45-ft. 5th Wheel & someday, when we set roots, would like a set up like you have on your homestead.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing: stay safe and buckled down during this stormy season … and have a funtastic weekend!
Val, I have read all your posts when you were in Ocean Park WA, as we had lived there for a couple of years ourselves. Have a great week ahead and thanks for sharing with us at WTJR!
