Honey Coriander Lime Mustard, easy upgrade for store bought mustard!

Honey Coriander Lime Mustard, is easy to make, even easier to enjoy in a sandwich or anywhere calling for mustard. So simple, just a few ingredients stirred together...

Yes we do enjoy all these different flavors of mustard.

I love flavored mustard, plus they practically keep forever and are great to spice up so many foods, and I don't mean just sandwiches! I have and will continue to make my own delicious flavored mustards (it's not hard at all!). You will find these delicious mustard recipes, Maker's Mark MustardMaple Orange Sherry Wine Mustard, or this Lemon Dill and Vermouth Mustard. As well as Cranberry Honey Mustard and today's recipe for Honey Coriander Lime Mustard, which start with a jar of stone-ground mustard from our favorite market.

I have been using the same brand of mustard for many years and can recommend it highly! PS, this is not an affiliate link, I simply believe in this product...and the coriander lime flavor combination is delicious. Honey Coriander Lime Mustard makes a great last-minute gift. As does all the mustard recipes found here, scratch made or dressed up.

Homemade mustard is a delightful gift to give to those you love.

But don't save this mustard for gift-giving only. Make it up for your family to enjoy year-round, I guarantee, you won't be sorry. Fancy mustard in gift shops is expensive, but as you can see from below, deliciously flavored mustard is quite easy to make. So if you want to use the whole jar, to make a double batch of Honey Coriander Lime Mustard to gift some and keep some for the family, simply double the other ingredients!

Some thoughts on this recipe:

If possible grind whole coriander seeds right before stirring into the mustard base for the best flavor.

You will need 10 ounces of mustard for this recipe, while I use Plochman's feel free to use your favorite brand of stone ground mustard.

Take care not to zest the lime too deep, you only want the outside green with none of the white pith.

You will only use half of the mustard from this jar, for the recipe. You can use the rest for another recipe, or simply keep it in the fridge to use plain.

Ingredients needed for this recipe:
  • coarse ground mustard
  • fresh lime
  • honey
  • white balsamic or champagne vinegar
  • sugar
  • ground coriander
You will also need the following:
  • measuring spoons
  • citrus zester or food plane
  • citrus juicer
  • spice grinder
  • medium-sized mixing bowl
  • kitchen spoon
  • cutting board
  • kitchen knife
  • storage jar with a tight fitting lid
Now we are ready to begin!
