Pesto, Pesto, Pesto! A collection of all our favorites.

Pesto, Pesto, Pesto! A collection of our favorites! Pesto is so easy to make, and there are no rules against taking a bit of creative license to create different flavors and varieties. Which is exactly what we have done! These are all served at our table and made when supplies are at their freshest! I hope you give these delicious pesto recipes a try, your meals never need be boring, ever again...

Everyday Pesto! This basic pesto recipe if you will is probably the most recognizable for anyone and everyone who enjoys pesto. This is one pesto you can make and enjoy without a set recipe, and many do. In the past I would fill my food processor bowl with fresh basil and build a large quantity of pesto for the freezer, but I decided to write it down, because a basic recipe like this one, is the creative starting point for so many others!

Fresh Oregano and Garlic Scape Pesto.  Fresh Oregano is quite different from the dried version. And when you cook with fresh oregano, it will fill your senses with wonder. That is where this pesto was thought of first, with the delightful smell of fresh oregano. This pesto is also delicious as a spread on just about anything you can spread it on!

Radish Top Pesto.  Pesto Can be made from just about anything edible and green! And I do not know if you eat your radish tops, but they are quite delicious! Radish Top Pesto is vivid in color and flavor.

Jessica's Homestead Pesto.  My daughter is a very creative cook! Her pesto recipe that she shared with me, (and yes, I have jars of this in my freezer!) has you sauté the garlic along with diced onion for a well rounded pesto that is perfect over pasta or just about anywhere else you might spoon it.

Parsley Garlic and Almond Pesto. Parsley is a much ignored source of flavor and nutrition. But you can certainly bring it to your table in this mild and delicious pesto. Tossed with diced cucumbers and tomatoes it create an instant salad the family will love. But don't just think salads, this is perfect spooned into a bowl of soup or tossed with hot pasta.

Carrot Top Pesto. Another delicious pesto made from an unusual source of food. Yes carrot tops are edible and as with all green vegetables, good nutrition is inside! Spoon this unique pesto everywhere...

Garlic Scape Pesto.  Garlic scapes are a creative cooks challenge. They are only available once a year, and for a short period of time. But should you find some, you will want to make this rich garlic flavored pesto! And while it is assertive it too makes a great spread on a cracker as well as stirred into soup or even a pan of pasta or mashed potatoes...

  2. Wow, it's amazing how many you've made and they all look delicious. We have tons of basil now in the garden and I was just making pesto with pistachios. I could live on pesto only, never get tired of it :)
