And now back to our regularly scheduled Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!
What's happening at our house?
Rather than writing this again, I went to my FB page and copied what I had shared with our community and my family:
Final update on these two cuties! Although they had a very strong hold on my heart strings, now is not the time for puppies. There is much to do, with plans in place, with absolutely no open slot to add puppy training. When I call the County Sheriff to inquire about the law regarding abandoned animal, the very kind officer who called me back also gave me a couple of ideas for rehoming them.
With this caveat, he would find homes for them among his friends and family group, if no one stepped forward. No one did...Last night they went home with the Deputy. Kindness was totally in play here, the Deputy had no idea what breed or behavior was in store for him when he made the offer.
Once here, I will quote, " these are beautiful dogs, I won't have any trouble finding homes for these two." Leading to a very good ending for these babies!
We also have worked on the shop project, and managed to capture a cold. Our first in about 4 years...
Once the repairs to the walls and floor are finished, the fun begins outside!
Why did my husband and I put together a tiny house homestead here in East Texas?

Turns out, it is a bit of an interesting story, you can read about it here if you like...and now that we are settled in, we have also made a photo tour of our 5thwheel tiny home. You really must be organized to fit it all in, cooking, gardening, homesteading and also a bit of fun from time to time!
And from time to time when inspiration strikes, I write about it all. The good, the bad, and all the other stuff from years ago, if you have an interest in creative thoughts down on paper...you could take a gander here. And now From the Heart Vol II can be found here.
And...
I try each day to get out and take a moment for myself to observe and see the daily changes taking place on our property. These moments taken out wandering have helped me find small repairs needing done as well as a rose that might have just bloomed!
I decided to photograph these findings for enjoyment yes, but also to observe the land around me along with the changes (and hopefully improvements through the years.) You can find those photos at our Welcome to our Homestead page.
