Whether you celebrate with just the two of you or the whole family around the table, we offer a delicious selection of nature made red food in recipes that everyone will love! Dine together, eat well and celebrate!
How about some delicious, naturally red; beautifully colored by nature, food for Valentine's Day? If there is one thing I have learned from so many years of cooking for those I love, there is nothing better than beautiful fresh food cooked with love, to celebrate Valentine's Day!
Starters:
Clams in Chorizo Broth. One way to make any dinner gathering a little extra fancy is to simply offer a starter! And this one couldn't be easier. You may want to offer crusty bread to do a little dipping into the broth...
Avocado Caprese Salad Plate. This beautiful platter of delicious food could be a salad course or a starter, you choose!
Sliced Cucumbers or Tossed Greens with Smoked Paprika Vinaigrette. This vinaigrette is delicious enough to carry off a platter of sliced English cucumbers as the salad course...but it is wonderful over tossed greens.
Main Dish Suggestions:
Steak Pizzaiola and pasta. You may slice the steak and arrange it over the pasta or allow it to be sliced at the table as each person is served. Either way, expect this to be enjoyed by all. And please, pass the Parmesan!
Vegetable sides and salads:
Braised Green Beans with Tomatoes Garlic and Thyme. Yes, even for Valentine's Day dinner, vegetables will be served! These tender braised green beans can't be beat!
Endings to the meal:
Fresh Fruit Platter with Lemon Creme Sauce. This is always beautiful and goes beautifully with any fresh fruit you choose in the marketplace...
Chocolate Cheesecake! I have to admit, I broke the rule of red for this one, but all is fair in love and happiness on Valentine's Day! Which just happens to be our wedding anniversary.

I haven't even begun to think about Valentine's Day yet! Everything looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, we don't really eat any different from one day to the next including Valentine's Day. But these foods are the ones we enjoy, they are naturally red (gosh, truth be told, I don't like food colorings...) and they are delicious! Thanks so for stopping by, I appreciate it.
