Creamy Paprika Salad Dressing.

Creamy Paprika Salad Dressing seems simple and plain, but don't let looks fool you! It is so good. I am sure it is the lime juice. Lime juice always makes everything just a little bit better! Break some lettuce into your favorite salad bowl, slice some tomatoes, and drizzle on this Creamy Paprika Salad Dressing for a quick, enjoyable salad, that everyone will love.

Sometimes it is the dressing that makes the salad!

Conveniently Creamy Paprika Salad Dressing is also perfect as a dunk for carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, so you may want to double the recipe. I have been guilty of serving too many salads in the past. I always thought of a salad as being the perfect way to get more vegetables into our meals. And of course, they are unless no one eats them...which turned out more than once. When cleaning up after dinner, the only thing left over from the meal, was salad.

After a few repeats of this happening I realized that while the idea of more vegetables was great, if we didn't eat them, it was the same as not serving them. Right then and there, I knew I needed to shift my thinking in regards to salads. So I did. Now salads are made from just about any vegetable we have in our refrigerator. And we have eaten better because of it! After awhile as I became better with mixing and matching vegetables and dressings, creating salads we loved. Which led to this post, suggestions and a "how to" on Composed Salads

What makes a good salad?

In truth, any vegetable can be a "salad", whether it is tossed greens or green beans. Often something as simple as a small platter of sliced cucumbers and a dunk of some sort, is offered. Setting veggies out at mealtime it is pretty much all it takes to actually get more vegetables into your meals. And for some reason, this Creamy Paprika Salad Dressing just works! Thick enough to be a dunk, mild enough that everyone loves it and the best part, it is made from basic pantry ingredients...

So easy to make, you can place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl or directly into a shaker jar, the choice is yours! And, you will probably get enough lime juice from half of a lime to double the recipes...so what are you waiting for?

  • shaker/storage jar
  • medium sized mixing bowl
