What's happening at our house?
It's still very cold, and we have more cold on the way. And, more importantly, I am keeping an eye on the weather in Washington state with the flooding. We have lots of family living in Western Washington. And as the days continue on towards Christmas, I have some crafts I need to get done. And of course they are also expected to be wrapped and under the tree...so, how is the weather in your area?
Keep warm, keep safe and most of all, keep happy!
Why did my husband and I put together a tiny house homestead here in East Texas?
Our Tiny Home!
Turns out, it is a bit of an interesting story, you can read about it here if you like...and now that we are settled in, we have also made a photo tour of our 5thwheel tiny home. You really must be organized to fit it all in, cooking, gardening, homesteading and also a bit of fun from time to time!
And from time to time when inspiration strikes, I write about it all. The good, the bad, and all the other stuff from years ago, if you have an interest in creative thoughts down on paper...you could take a gander here. And From the Heart Vol II can be found here.
And...
I try each day to get out and take a moment for myself to observe and see the daily changes taking place on our property. These moments taken out wandering have helped me find small repairs needing done as well as a rose that might have just bloomed!
I decided to photograph these findings for enjoyment yes, but also to observe the land around me along with the changes (and hopefully improvements through the years.) You can find those photos at our Welcome to our Homestead page.

It has been very cold and windy here too! In fact I went to open the curtains this morning and we have a group of ice fishermen in front of our house.

Well, this week we had our first snow storm and now were preparing for an arctic chill this weekend with temperatures below freezing and wind chills possibly -35 degrees...so winter is definitely upon us!
