No matter how hot it gets, dinner still needs to be cooked. Or sometimes it is a cooling beverage or a dessert because there is something to celebrate. But after the third day of burgers and dogs (and believe me, there is nothing wrong with those family favorites for dinner!) everyone might be ready to enjoy something different for dinner. Why not make it just as easy on the cook by enjoying these Slow Cook and No-Cook Recipes?
For those with really hungry eaters at the table, add a loaf of French bread and some butter to the mix!
Three Ingredient Pineapple Thai Chicken Not too sweet, not too fruity! Tender with a bit of a spicy flavor, but no real heat...
Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes and Ham will satisfy the hungriest one at the table! Nothing beats potatoes with cheese and chunks of ham.
Or you might consider this tasty and easy to throw together Melt in Your Mouth Meat Loaf! Plus leftovers make great sandwiches!
How about some Slow Cooker sides?
Mark Bittman's Black Bean and Mango Salad Don't be afraid to try this unusual combination, it really is delicious!
Kale Apple and Carrot Slaw, because you can never eat too many vegetables and this is a really delicious slaw!
Like the Black Bean and Mango Salad, this one might be new for your family. But a new (the the family) salad is a delicious way to introduce new vegetables and flavors. I hope you give this Crunchy Tangy Jicama Waldorf Salad a try.
Creamy Banana and Kiwi Parfaits This is a refreshing parfait that is nothing more than fruit and yogurt. The flavors of banana and kiwi are lovely together. PS if you desire a bit of whipped cream, please feel free to add a drift of cream to your parfait!
You will find yourself making Aqua Fresca often. Use any fruit, but the cantaloupe version is so so good!

So many great ideas here, Melynda. I particularly like the sounds of the Meatloaf and The Fudgy Pudding cake. I've never tried making a dessert in my slow cooker apart from the Christmas pudding. Also the Creamy Banana Kiwi parfaits and the chia dessert. Thanks for sharing with us at #WeekendTrafficJamReboot
