I have been sharing a round up of posts from the prior year's blog posts for a few years now. And it can be enlightening to see if the list of reader's favorites (based upon page views) and my favorites (based upon recipe development) have any cross-over posts.
Not surprising really, the reader's favorites are usually tried and true favorites that are searched over and over again by cooks everywhere. And my favs are still quite new and still being discovered...let's see if one or two of these are on the Reader's Favorites, next year!
Not in any order of importance here are my favorite new posts from 2024:
Minted Apple Bread. A delicious bread we have enjoyed in the past. This whole wheat version did not lose anything in the conversion!
Naturally Fermented Pickles. This was fun to complete along with growing the cucumbers used to make pickles!
Maple and Butter Baked Apples, a slow cooker recipe. Simple ingredients could not taste any more delicious!
Easy Peach Compote. If you love peaches, you will love this compote!
Cheddar Cheese Drop Biscuits. Again, a delicious recipe we have enjoyed in the past, successfully converted to whole wheat flour...
Apple Beet and Carrot Salad. A simply delicious raw beet salad!
Onion Island Salad Dressing. A delicious riff on 1000 Island Dressing, that will be your new favorite!
Chunky Peanut Butter Chocolate Chips Squares. You may have just found a new favorite cookie, never fear that it is also a whole wheat conversion recipe!
Gingerbread and Pear Pudding Cake. And another delicious conversion of a long time favorite to whole wheat flour!
