Cafe Yumm Sauce, a copycat recipe!

Looking to save some money, but miss hitting up your favorite fast-food spot? If so, this recipe for Cafe Yumm Sauce is just what you are looking for!

This is a bit of an unusual list of ingredients, but trust me they all come together beautifully. Plus it gave me the opportunity to use nutritional yeast, which I have been wanting to cook with for some time. Nutritional yeast is a bit salty, a bit cheesy, and pretty tasty. It is not something I use a lot of, but it is needed for the overall flavor profile in this recipe.

At Cafe YummCafe Yumm Sauce is spooned over a Yum Bowl, which consists of rice, beans, and assorted vegetables, along with grilled meat, if you choose. But don't stop there, it is great as a dip for vegetables, as a sandwich spread, and even spooned over scrambled eggs. If you have never been to Cafe Yumm, this easy and delicious sauce is a good start! And from there, you just might search for a Cafe Yumm the next time you take a road trip.

Cafe Yumm Sauce
is so good, you won't have to think too hard about different ways to enjoy it. F
resh ideas will simply come your way, it is that good, I promise! One of the easiest (and so simple also!) ways to enjoy it is with tortilla chips! Right after I had made my first batch, of Cafe Yumm Sauce, I found a jar of it at my local market when we lived on the Washington Peninsula, and gosh that small 8 ounce jar you see above was almost $7.00!

Cafe Yumm Sauce. Perfect served as a dip for fresh vegetables.

We enjoyed this the first time, on the same day as it was made. It is delicious freshly prepared and stays that way as it relaxes in your refrigerator. We enjoyed it a couple days later over leftovers, again, very delicious. And later in the week as a dip with vegetables. Again, totally delicious, so no worries when stored in the fridge, just so you know.

    1. Donna, thanks! I have only been to an actual Cafe Yumm just a couple of times now that I can make their signature sauce at home. But making a Yumm Bowl for dinner is fun, delicious and a great way to serve a large group as well.
