Whole Grain Banana Date Bread, all fruit and no refined sugar.

If you are looking for a loaf of banana bread so healthy you can eat it for breakfast, you have come to the right place! This Whole Grain Banana Date Bread is not only whole grain, but also all fruit-sweetened...

All our favorites have been remade in whole wheat flour, and they are still, our favorites!

When our conversion to whole wheat baking began I felt compelled to remake all of our favorites using whole wheat. Which if you think about it, is a pretty safe place to start. And I can say, with out a doubt, so far they still remain our favorites. But this Whole Grain Banana Date Bread was not on the list of our favorites. Because, quite honestly, we did not have an all fruit-sweetened quick bread like this one, on our list of all-time favorites. But we sure do now!

Delicious enough for dessert, nutritious enough for breakfast!

I can not tell you how pleased I am with how this quick bread turned out! Whole Grain Banana Date Bread is wonderful! It is flavorful, moist, and made with whole wheat flour. While being our first all fruit sweetened loaf. I tend to believe a slice of bread is oftentimes easier (cleaner maybe?) to eat on the go, than a muffin. Plus there is no cupcake liner to peel away and dispose of. Those who nibble on the way to work will agree. And whether it was good for me or not, I often ate my breakfast, on the way to work during my commute. And with how delicious this bread is, I should have taken two slices, one for breakfast and one for later!

Perfect with a cup of coffee.

Fortunately, when the weekend comes around a slice of Whole Grain Banana Date Bread would be perfect to take along on a camping trip, or why not pack a thermos cup of coffee, and a slice of this bread for a light breakfast on the trail and take a lovely morning walk? This just might be the tastiest all fruit-sweetened banana bread you will ever eat! As with all quick bread recipes, do allow this loaf to mellow overnight as the recipe indicates. That extra step makes slicing any quick bread, easier. But right after that, dig right in!
