Honey and Cinnamon Baked Apples.

We often enjoy a fruit dessert for a couple of reasons. One, they are delicious, and two it is another way to get the required servings of fruits and vegetables on your table for the family to enjoy. And these Honey and Cinnamon Baked Apples couldn't be easier!

Honey sweetened fruit is always a welcome dessert at our house.

I love a simple recipe such as this one for Honey and Cinnamon Baked Apples. It is so easy and can be made with any apple of your choice. But I must be honest, this is my favorite go to recipe when I have apples that have lost a bit of their crispness. Apples are the one fruit available (almost!) year round, but sometimes due to storage conditions they soften a bit as time goes by. But they are perfect to use in this delicious dessert the whole family will love.

The baking couldn't be easier, and sharing oven space is never a problem.

Plus is you are already baking something else for dinner they are happy to share oven space! Honey and Cinnamon Baked Apples are not a fussy dessert, and with only four simple ingredients, apples, honey, butter and cinnamon. There is a little prep, but it is completed quickly and the apples go into the oven for ten minutes, then they are turned over and the baking continues for another 35 minutes and that is it. Serve with a touch of whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon and the world will seem right once again.

Since there is just the two of us, this recipe is a small batch version. But never fear, for more servings Honey and Cinnamon Baked Apples, just double or even triple the ingredients and use a bigger pan! We usually save this recipe for those times our apples have lost a bit of the crisp we enjoy so well. Fruit desserts are definitely a favorite around here, how about your house?
