Welcome to Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Kitchen located out in the Piney Woods of East Texas. Thank you for joining us, we are very glad you did. We love potatoes in this house and wanted to put our best recipes together on one convenient page for you to take a look at...so which recipe will you make first?
Fried Mashed Potatoes, my grandmother's Potato Cakes. We will start with this frugal and delicious classic. From my childhood memories, and my grandmother's kitchen.
Twice Baked Scalloped Potatoes. I love twice baked potatoes, and thought, why not twice baked scalloped potatoes? That same night we had them for dinner! I think you are going to enjoy this frugal idea.
Dutch Potatoes. With so many delicious ingredients, it is almost a full meal in the bowl! But these go great with just about everything.
Slow Cooker Roasted Potatoes. Being able to cook potatoes with different (and convenient!) kitchen appliances is a blessing, especially in hot weather. These roasted potatoes are perfect as is or for hash browns and even cut up for potato salad.
Mashed Potatoes, no drain, Instant Pot Easy. Perfect every time! Plus this recipe will free up a burner on the stove for those busy cooking times...
Rustic 3 Vegetable Mash with Sautéed Green Onions. Creamy and so good! Perfect alongside any roast or chicken dinner. Also good along side a juicy pork chop!
Skillet Braised Sweet Potatoes and Peas. I know, this dish looks just like peas and carrots, but it is even better. The sweet potatoes pair perfectly with the peas. This will be a fun twist to offer the family.
Rustic Olive oil and Parmesan Mashed Potatoes. This is a delicious and unique mashed potato dish. But I have to say, we loved it! The flavor is wonderful.
Dusty Potatoes. Never doubt the power of breadcrumbs! This recipe will become a family favorite. When you are not sure about a side dish, this is one that will always be eaten.
Sweet Potato Gratin with Fresh Sage. Sweet potatoes have never had it so good! This is a savory, dish of sweet potatoes, no brown sugar or marshmallows in sight.
Traditional Irish Champs. Mashed potatoes don't get better than these! So make them often...and while not necessarily tradition, add a sprinkle of cheddar cheese from time to time.
